A contribution to rainfall simulator design – a concept of moving storm automation

Abstract. We developed an advanced-design programmable rainfall simulator (RS) to simulate a moving storm condition. The RS consists of automated nozzle control system coupled with pressure regulator mechanism for operating range 50 180 kPa at drop height 2000 mm above the soil flume surface. Additionally, mobile application was regulate all valves. Near natural conditions were simulated varying spatial and temporal resolutions in controlled environment.
